"The Class
 That Will Live
 In Infamy"

Those of us with good memories and eyesight (Anyone? Anyone?) will recognize BGA '67 American History teacher Lyle Hampton standing next to Allen Muse, who has obviously been closely involved with the top-secret Dick Clark Genome Project. On a recent visit to California, Allen and his wife, Connie, looked up Lyle and visited him at his home in La Jolla.Lyle's email address is lyhamp@juno.com.

Here's what Allen emailed me about Lyle:

These are two snapshots of Lyle and me during my visit to his home in La Jolla, CA last June. Connie and I were in California for a business conference in Long Beach, and after it was over, we drove down the coast to look around. I made a point to look up Lyle, since I knew he was living in La Jolla. We almost didn't link up because I kept calling his phone number, but he was using the phone to surf the net! As you probably know, Lye's wife Pat passed away last year, and he has moved into a smaller apartment at the retirement home. He has a lot of interesting neighbors. including an admiral who was an adviser to Franklin Rooselvelt during WW II. He is gathering oral histories from a number of these people and putting them on computer files, so Lyle is staying busy. One of his neighbors at a home down the beach is Cliff Robertson. I will include his email address, because I think Lyle would appreciate hearing from the class of '67. He told me during our visit that he thought we had one of the best classes he'd ever taught!
